Contact Lens Selection Guide

How Do You Choose the Right Lenses for Your Eyes?

Here is what you should know before purchasing contact lenses, from choosing the visual size to understanding how your natural eye color may affect the final result.

First: Lens Diameter

Lens diameter is the lens’s overall size. Within the Doisy collections, the following categories help explain the expected visual effect of each size.

14.50 mmCreates a visibly larger and more defined eye appearance.

14.20 mmProvides subtle enlargement with a natural appearance.

14.00 mmIdeal for a soft, natural look without obvious enlargement.

These sizes help you choose your preferred appearance. However, lens comfort and proper fit also depend on the base curve and the lens’s complete specifications.

Why Do Our Lenses Look Realistic?

Before launching our store, we carefully considered the quality, details, and presentation of every lens to provide a preview that is as close as possible to the real result.

  • We show how the lenses genuinely appear when worn.
  • All product photos are taken by us.
  • Our models have brown eyes, similar to many of our customers.
  • We explain the model’s natural eye color to help you anticipate your result.

How Do I Know Which Lens Suits My Eye Shape?

Choosing a lens is not only about color. The visible eye area and the amount of white space around the iris can also influence how the lens looks when worn.

Choose According to Your Visible Eye Area

Compare your eye shape with the examples below to find the effect closest to the look you want.

Eye with clearly visible space below the iris

1

Clear Space Below the Iris

If the colored area appears smaller with clearly visible white space underneath, a larger size may provide a more noticeable enlarging effect.

Suggested size: 14.50 mm

Eye with a moderate amount of space below the iris

2

Moderate or Small Space

If the visible space below the iris is moderate or small, a medium size can create a balanced and natural result.

Suggested: 14.20 or 14.50 mm

Eye without clearly visible space below the iris

3

No Clear Space Below the Iris

If there is no clearly visible space below the iris, the smaller size may provide a softer and more natural look.

Suggested size: 14.00 mm

Color Theory: Why Can the Result Look Different?

Lens color interacts with your natural eye color, so the result may appear lighter or darker than the photo. Lighting and screen settings can also affect the displayed color.

Hazel Eyes

The lenses may appear lighter and brighter.

Very Dark Eyes

The lenses may appear darker or more intense.

Brown Eyes

The result will often be closest to the photos shown in our store.

Important note:
This guide only helps you select an appearance. Both cosmetic and prescription contact lenses must fit your eyes correctly in terms of size, base curve, and prescription. Consult an eye-care professional if you are unsure which specifications are appropriate for you.
